And it Der-went like this: The story of Hayman Partners and Derwent St

Whether we are helping people buy their first house, leasing their third property or selling their family home, the team at Hayman Partners have learnt that each property has its own story. While recounting selling and leasing stories, it became apparent that one street stood out above the rest; Derwent Street in Lyons.

Located in the heart of Lyons, this street of approximately 700 metres is home to 27 properties, 22 of which Hayman Partners has been part of the leasing and selling journey. But reminiscing should be shared, so together, let us all walk down memory lane, or, more specifically, Derwent Street.

21B Derwent Street

21B Derwent Street was one of the first properties we recounted, as it is such a memorable story and home. Not only did Team Hayman sell this home, but our wider team also began managing the property after selling it—talk about a circle of life! This well-appointed four-bedroom home is the epitome of resort living. With large open spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows and great views, it offers a luxury oasis in a humble street.

50 Derwent Street

50 Derwent Street is all about the curves. Located on the curviest section of Derwent street, the home’s circular settings have clearly inspired the styling. Upon entering the kitchen, you are met with a curving island and deep teal cabinetry. Outside, you see expansive and partially curved lawns, creating all kinds of spaces for kids to run around (and around) or for the owners to host elaborate get-togethers. 

13 Derwent Street 

This home is a standout in the Hayman Partners office. With open-plan living areas and lavish gardens, this property sold after only four days on the market. But what’s our favourite feature of this home? The decks that occupy the front and back yards! This is prime real estate to soak up the sun’s rays while street watching or backyard entertaining with a cheeky cocktail—or two—we won’t judge.

48 Derwent Street

Hayman Partners fondly remember the unique vibe surrounding 48 Derwent Street. When entering this home, you’re instantly greeted by a rich aroma of incense. But outside this property, the geometric paths carve their way through the garden’s landscape, leading you to a beautiful leafy display of trees that hug this property. We’re sure the current tenants are sitting on this deck every afternoon, celebrating the changing landscape and spring sun with an Aperol Spritz—that’s what we’d be doing! But, thanks to our property management team, we can get updates!
