Do good, feel good: get ready to Pace Yourself for Pegasus!

Now, more than ever, Pegasus Riding for the Disabled ACT needs your support — and we have the perfect way for you to help raise much-needed funds and get active along the way.

Many of the not-for-profit and charity organisations in our community rely on the support of everyday Canberrans through fundraising activities. With events across the country cancelled as a result of COVID-19, it’s harder than ever to secure the funding that they need to continue their valuable work.

At Hayman Partners, we had planned a fun-filled Dance-in-the-Dirt-Fest where the community could gather and raise money while having a fun get-together. While we certainly plan on holding this event in the future, we were left scratching our heads. How could we come up with another way to raise money and connect with our community?

The result is Pace Yourself For Pegasus, a fun-filled, multi-faceted, physically active and socially distanced fundraising fitness challenge. With summer approaching, it’s a fantastic way to improve your fitness and lose any unwanted “COVID kilos” — all while supporting a worthwhile cause.

Of course, this challenge is about so much more than burning calories. Every dollar raised from registrations and fundraising goes directly towards supporting Pegasus. By signing up, you’re essentially becoming a superhero to many children within our community who use, and continue to benefit from, the equine therapeutic practices provided by Pegasus.

Here’s how the challenge works:

If the feel-good fundraising and exercise aren’t motivation enough, we’re providing weekly prizes along the way. For a chance to win a weekly surprise gift, be sure to take a picture of any unusual places where you complete your featured weekly exercise. Each week, the prize will be awarded to the participant with the most unusual backdrop — so don’t be afraid to get creative! To submit your pictures, send them to us at

Week 1 – KM’s (run, walk, ride)

Week 2 – Push-ups

Week 3 – Squats

Week 4 – Burpees

Week 5 – Steps

Week 6 – Sit-ups

At Hayman Partners, we’re incredibly excited about this challenge. Our team is a mix of workout warriors and fitness newbies, so whatever your fitness level, you’ll be in great company. Pace Yourself for Pegasus is open to anyone and everyone, so don’t be afraid to register if you don’t have a team. We are expecting plenty of individual registrations, and you’ll still be in the running to win our weekly prize.
