Once again, our incredible team have made it through another year at Hayman Partners and in the real estate industry. But before we welcome 2023, we want to reflect on 2022. Our team achieved some significant milestones this year; we thought they needed extra appreciation. So let’s look at some of our team’s most prominent highlights from 2022.
While working in real estate, you focus your housing attention on your client’s needs, and it is easy to lose sight of the home you are looking for. So, when one of our own buys or sells their home, it is major news! And for Sales Agent Martin Faux and Portfolio Managers Ashlyn Moloney and Anna Casey, that is exactly what happened.
Marty and his partner upsized from a townhouse to a spacious house so their puppies had room to run around. Anna sold her home and bought another to live closer to her family. Ashlyn bought her first home this year!
On the topic of firsts, our Sales Agent Chris Hetherington became a first-time dad this year! We are thrilled for him and his family and look forward to seeing him take on the role of fatherhood.
And in other exciting news, our Receptionist, Katelyn Pantaleo, is leaving 2022 on a high as she completed her Certificate 3 in Business and got her first office job this year. These are major milestones to be proud of, Katelyn, and well done!
Natalie Harper, Brianna Heins, and Sienna Lacey continue the work theme who were all promoted this year! Natalie is our Property Management Team Leader, Brianna is our Portfolio Manager, and Sienna is our Marketing and Social Media Coordinator. All three ladies love their new roles, and we are overjoyed watching them flourish!
Our overseas jetsetter, Portfolio Manager Briana Mildner is proud that she “Finally booked a trip to Europe!” saying she “always wanted to go, but never actually organised and booked it.” Well, Briana, you booked it, organised it, and are on that trip now—enjoy it!
Similarly, Sales Agent Glen Kingston took time off this year to sail around the Whitsundays, reminiscing it was his “best decision by far”. To say we are jealous is an understatement—what an incredible achievement, Glen!
Another incredible achievement comes from Client Service Manager Melaia Tonga, who is most proud of her resilience this year amid grief. Melaia said, “It has been a tough year losing 2 of my immediate family members.” Times like this remind us why we cherish our team so much. Thank you, Melaia, for your resilience and courage—we admire you.
In other stories of resilience are Sales Agents Rick Meir and Anthony McCormack. In May this year, Rick challenged himself not to drink alcohol until this Christmas! We are happy to report he is still hanging in there! Similarly, Anthony completed his first triathlon! This might be Anthony’s new hobby, but it is not a sport most of us imagine doing!
More on people who persevere are Sales Associate Michaela Chan and Director and Principal Brett Hayman. This year, Michaela coached the ANU Cheerleading team to victory for the first time in five years, and Brett caught the fish of a lifetime—a Spanish Mackerel, no less!
Brett also preserved Australian history by restoring a 1971 Holden back to its former glory. Commenting on business, Brett shared how proud he was about how “quickly and efficiently we adapted to market conditions to maintain our market share.” A sentiment we all share and feel equally proud of.
And last but not least is Sales Agent Tyran Murphy, who said, “This year, I am most proud of joining Hayman Partners! It was a massive decision for me that was a year in the making, and it turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever made.” That sentiment sums up our review of 2022 perfectly.
Our team, clients and community have put their trust in Hayman Partners to find out it was one of their best decisions—what a way to finish this year! Thank you, Canberra, for another great year.
